INPEA President Appoints Chair for
2018 Executive Officers Nomination Committee

Prof. Ariela Lowenstein, INPEA Board Member and INPEA EU Representative has been appointed Nomination Committee Chair pursuant to INPEA By laws inserted below:

INPEA BY LAWS as amended July 2010

3.7.1 "Nominating Committee.

The Nominating Committee shall consist of five (5) members. The President shall appoint annually a member of the Board of Directors as chairperson. The balance of the Committee shall be appointed for one year, be recruited by the Committee chairperson and consist of at least one (1) additional Board member, and three (3) at large. The Committee shall prepare a slate of nominations for (i) elected officers; (ii) members of the Board of Directors; and (iii) National and Regional Representatives.

The Secretary General shall electronically distribute any ballot to the members in good standing of the NETWORK not less than two weeks prior to any vote. In case of election of officers members shall have the opportunity to write in candidates of their own choice on the ballot.

All ballots may be returned electronically, including those scanned or faxed to the Nominating Committee Chair."

Prof. Lowenstein will move to constitute the full committee as required. It will adopt rules of procedure which will be posted here once available. 

The committee will seek viable candidates for the Offices of President, Vice President, Secretary General and Treasurer.

T. Nhongo, Chair, Lynn McDonald, Simon Biggs, Co-Chair, Laura Machado and Wayne Felding will seek viable candidates for President, Vice President, Secretary General and Treasure.
As nominations closed FRIDAY May 15, 2009 12 Noon EST., President, Lia Daichman, expressed her satisfaction noting "the ease of the new "online" process," ... "was truly participatory" ... over 30 INPEA Regional, National and UN NGO Representatives had a voice.
